National Headache Awareness Week

Posted by Preferred Benefits on June 3, 2008

Got a headache? Take two aspirin and call me in the morning, or better yet, read the following helpful information.

This is National Headache Awareness Week, sponsored by the National Headache Foundation (NHF).

I’m sure we have all experienced a headache in our lives, and you likely realize there are many different kinds of headaches, including:

·           Tension-type – about 78% of adults have one of these at some time in their lives.

·           Migraine – 13% of the U.S. population is affected by migraines.

·           Cluster – this type of headache affects one million people in the U.S., and most of them are men.

·           Secondary headaches – organically caused – these occur as a result of a disease or disorder such as an infection or high blood pressure.

For more information on these types of headaches, symptoms and treatment options, see the NHF headache topic sheets.

Also available is a headache quiz you can complete and discuss with your doctor.

At Preferred Benefits LLC we can take the headache out of insurance and benefits planning. We can help you do a realistic assessment of your current insurance portfolio and make suggestions that may save you money and in other cases even expand your coverage for the money you are currently spending. Such an assessment should be done annually.

Please contact us for a FREE assessment of your insurance portfolio. This personalized customer service is a cornerstone of our business. We look forward to being of service to you.
